Can I freeze cream cheese to use in a few months later?

we bought 1.5 kg of cream cheese and noticed that expire date is dec. 24. we don’t want to eat cream cheese and bagel every morning. so i was wondering if we can freeze it and a few weeks later, thaw some of it and eat again. I am not sure it is a good idea.

YES , I’VE GOT SOME IN MY DEEP FREEZE RIGHT NOW , LASTS AT LEAST 3 MONTHS
